Activités
Install, maintain, repair, calibrate and test a wide variety of industrial instruments that record, indicate, control and regulate level, flow, pressure, temperature, position, and water analysis at the LaPorte Polypropylene Plant.
Troubleshoot process controller hardware and maintain a functional knowledge of the operation of the telemetry system hardware and software.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections of all metering control instruments, diagnosing existing or potential trouble; clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust as conditions indicate.
Install and place into service new metering, controlling and recording devices, calibrating as required; may extend or connect related electrical circuits.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and specifications in making installations or performing major repair work.
May make estimates of labor, materials, and supplies as necessary for the performance of specific assignments.
Keep records; make verbal and written reports of work performed.
Troubleshoot telemetry and PLC software and hardware, make recommendations and perform software changes, maintain documentation of changes to the software and hardware.
May direct the work of others on specific projects, and coach and train less-experienced instrument Technicians and others on the procedures of the work.
Perform the repairs and testing work requiring higher-level knowledge, skills, and abilities, and serve as a technical resource to others.
HSE responsibilities include - Understanding, supporting, and compliance with all site policies, procedures and applicable regulations; conducting applicable safety activities, including inspections and audits as assigned; completion of assigned HSE action items; and completion of regulatory and other required training.
Additional duties as assigned.
Responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
Profil du candidat
High School Degree or equivalent
Basic mechanical skills (training or experience with polymer or chemical processing equipment, forklift operation, testing equipment, or skills in mechanical or electrical crafts are advantageous).
Good written and oral communication skills.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to comply with all of the Safety regulations of the position.
Ability to work a flexible schedule for limited overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to meet physical requirements of this position.
Informations supplémentaires
Must be able to read and work from P&I flow diagrams, instrument loop drawings, electrical control drawings and ladder logic diagrams.
Must be willing to work overtime and callouts as required.
Must be willing to work rotating workdays or shifts as required.
