Vacancy Announcement: Product Haulage Supervisor



Position Overview:

Leo Lithium is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Haulage Supervisor to join our team at the Goulamina site in Mali. As the Product Haulage Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the logistics team, overseeing fleet optimization, and leading a small team to ensure efficient and safe product haulage in accordance with Leo Lithium's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate consistent and visible leadership, supporting Leo Lithium's objectives and values.

- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and promote safety awareness among team members.

- Coordinate the movement and loading of the DSO and Spodumene Concentrate Haulage fleet.

- Take overall responsibility for the Product Haulage functions on-site during the Superintendent's absence.

- Manage the smooth traffic flow of trucks on site and identify areas for process improvements.

- Ensure compliance with LMSA minimum safety and operational standards for all trucks and drivers attending the site.

- Oversee accident and incident reporting, following Leo Lithium's procedures.

- Ensure compliance with Malian Road regulations regarding maximum allowable tonnages for loaded trucks.

- Review and coordinate fleet and equipment utilization to optimize productivity and maintenance activities.

- Collaborate with production teams to ensure the correct product is loaded at all times.

- Oversee the Weighbridge Operators to ensure proper tracking of loads leaving the site in the Logistics Software system.

- Collaborate with the Freight Forwarding Company to track and record all vehicle movements before trucks leave the site.

- Ensure all legislative, regulatory, and statutory obligations are met and provide suitable reports for executive and board distribution.

- Comply with company policies, protocols, and statutory obligations.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in Bulk Product Logistics, ideally in freight forwarding or a mining environment.

- Qualification in Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, or Logistics.

- Knowledge of export documentation and relevant terms is essential.

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

- Valid car license.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

- Previous experience with Accounting software is preferred.

- Fluent in English, and proficiency in French is desirable.
